Careers in Science Publishing, Open Science, and Faculty of 1000 In-Person
The D. Samuel Gottesman Library welcomes Dr. Miranda Gray, Outreach Manager from Faculty of 1000 (F1000).
Dr. Gray will introduce F1000 resources provided to the Einstein Community by the Library:
- F1000 Prime - an article recommendation service based on powerful algorithms to bring you the top publications relevant to your research
- F1000 Workspace - a rich suite of tools to help with writing, collaborating, reference management, and preparation for publication in the journal of your choice
- F1000 Research - an open science publishing platform that allows for immediate publication and transparent peer review
Dr. Gray will also discuss:
- Careers in science publishing including her transition from a bench scientist to the publishing world
- How the open science movement is revolutionizing how scientists publish
Refreshments will be served.
